  The Chevy Aveo is a FWD Front Wheel Drive Tranverse Front Engine Subcompact Car manufactured since 2002 by Daewoo and later General Motors. The name Aveo means Desire in Latin. The second generation Aveo debuted in January 2011, and was marketed in North America as the Chevrolet Sonic. The Aveo was one of the first vehicles in a new generation of inexpensive small cars as shoppers began changing buying habits to reflect rising gas prices and tough financial times.
