Some other fun facts surrounding the Corvette - 47% of Corvette owners hold college degrees, significantly above the nationwide average of 27 percent. Currently, the Chevrolet Corvette is in its eighth generation, called the Corvette C8, which debuted in 2020 and is available as both a coupe and a convertible. It features a 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 called the LT2. This engine offers drivers with 495 horsepower (hp) and 470 lb/ft of torque when fully equipped with the Z51 performance package. The Corvette C8 convertible is the first Corvette with a retractable hardtop.
