Classified as a full size luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Chrysler Aspen can get up to 20 MPG (miles per gallon) in the city and up to 22 MPG on the highway. The vehicle has 303 to 385 hp (horsepower) and a towing capacity of 6,000 to 8,950 pounds. It comes with either a 4.7 L V8 or 5.7 L V8 engine. The Chrysler Aspen is available in multiple configurations, including Limited 4.7L V8 Flex-fuel, Limited 5.7L V8, Limited 4.7L V8 Flex-fuel 4WD, Limited 5.7L V8 4WD, and Limited HEV. The Chrysler Aspen first made its debut in 2007 and was based on the Dodge Durango SUV. In late 2008, the Aspen was discontinued. It had been the first truck based Sport Utility Vehicle commercialized under the Chrysler brand. AutoWeek called the Aspen affordable full-size luxury while Motor Trend said the Aspen was a capable SUV offering capability, creature comforts and all of the chrome jewelry in a lighter, smaller and considerably cheaper package. With size and space on its side, the Aspen is a great family car that can fit everyone comfortably, along with all the stuff you need as well.
