The compact crossover SUV first made its debut marketed by Hyundai in 2004 and it fits below both the Santa Fe and Veracruz. The SUV is named after the city of Tucson, Arizona and it shares its Elantra based platform with the redesigned Kia Sportage. The Tucson is in the same class as the Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV and Ford Escape. The compact SUV was rated with Five Stars across the board by the USA National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The 2021 version of the Hyundai Tucson can get up to 181 hp (horsepower) and optional AWD (all wheel drive). The SUV offers Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with available Pedestrian Detection, which warns drivers of a potential collision and even applys emergency braking if you do not begin to stop in time.
