The minivan has 25.7 ft³, 108.4 ft³ with seat area of cargo volume and is available in four different configurations. These configurations include the S, SV, SL, and the Platinum. The three door minivan can seat up to seven passengers comfortably and has been manufactured by Nissan since 1992. The first two generations of the Quest were a joint venture with Ford, which marketed a re-badged variant as the Mercury Villager. In 2004, the Quest was completely redesigned. It competes with the Honda Odyssey, Kia Carnival, and the Toyota Sienna. Kelley Blue Book dubbed the Quest a Top 10 in Most Affordable 3rd Row Vehicles. The minivan first made its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in 1992. Each version of the Quest rode a platform derived from that of the Nissan Maxima. The third generation model was built on the FF-L platform, which it shares with the Altima, Maxima, Teana, and Murano. Nissan ceased production of the Quest in 2017, however, it is still sold in Japan.
